This acclaimed wildlife art venue regularly hits the headlines following the wild antics of its artist Robert Fuller.
A recognised authority on wildlife, Mr Fuller writes a monthly column for The Yorkshire Post and regularly appears on local television due to his conservation work.
The gallery is devoted exclusively to his exquisite collection of highly detailed oil paintings and bronze sculpture.
Limited edition prints and a wide selection of greetings cards taken from each of the images are also available.
Nestled in a fold of the Yorkshire Wolds, just a short drive from York and from the North Yorkshire market town of Malton, it is well situated for visitors to the area.
The artist tends to photograph animals and birds in the wild and then paint from these photographs.
Visitors to the gallery can enjoy a drive through the stunning countryside in which he finds his subjects.
Many of the paintings hanging on the walls of the gallery are of animals and birds which Robert painted from his kitchen window.
Robert is known for his highly detailed and technically accurate paintings.
Open all year round, the venue also holds two themed exhibitions a year. One in the summer and one shortly before Christmas.
Each exhibition is carefully tailored to focus on a wildlife theme and the artist usually throws open the doors to his studio to show visitors how he works and how he gets the world's shiest creatures to 'pose' for his paintings.
Although his reach is global (his paintings from Antarctica, Africa and the sub-continent have fuelled many of his most popular paintings), it is his understanding of British fauna that has earned him the most respect in this country.
His paintings of deer, foxes, badgers, otters, pheasants, garden birds, and, most popular of all, birds of prey, have earned him the custom of the National Trust and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.
